The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE)
By Alex Morgan · Last updated October 31, 2026
The NJDGE (New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement) is the state agency that licenses and polices online casinos in New Jersey. If you play Aviator, JetX or any other crash game for real money in New Jersey, the NJDGE is the reason you can trust the result: it approves operators and games, and enforces the rules on age, location and responsible gaming. Official site: New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
What the NJDGE does
- Licenses operators. Every online casino in New Jersey must be tied to an Atlantic City casino licensee, and each site must be approved by the DGE before it can take bets.
- Approves games. Each crash game must be approved before a licensed casino can offer it.
- Enforces player protections: 21+ age checks, geolocation, responsible gaming tools and fair-play testing.
- Publishes the approved list. Approved sites show the DGE’s seal, and the Division publishes its list of authorized internet gaming sites. Any site not on that list is not approved in New Jersey.
Self-exclusion and help
The DGE runs an internet gaming self-exclusion list. Signing up blocks you from every New Jersey-licensed online casino for the period you choose.
The Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey runs 1-800-GAMBLER, free and confidential, 24/7.
