Flat betting is the simplest crash strategy there is: the same stake every round, with the same auto cash out, no matter what just happened. It sounds too plain to be good, but it’s the system that tested best in our 10,000-session comparison: no busts at 2x over 100 rounds, the lowest total wagered and smooth, predictable swings. Every $ you bet costs about 3 cents on average at a 97% RTP, so the system that bets least for the same fun wins. Here’s why, with the numbers. Part of our crash game strategy guide.

Flat betting at every target

$500 budget, $10 flat bets, 100 rounds, 10,000 simulated sessions each:

Auto cash out Win chance Median Worst 10% Best 10%
1.2x 80.8% $472 $412 $532
1.5x 64.7% $475 $370 $565
2x 48.5% $460 $340 $600
3x 32.3% $460 $280 $640
5x 19.4% $450 $200 $700

Pick the row that matches how you like to play. Detailed walk-throughs: the 1.5x strategy and the 2x strategy, or all targets in our fixed auto cash out strategy.

Flat vs progressions

Same $500, same 2x target, 100 rounds:

System Median Ran dry Avg. wagered
Flat betting $460 0% $1,000
Martingale $0 50.2% $2,235
Anti-Martingale $440 1.0% $1,681
Fibonacci $620 32.3% $1,848

Progressions don’t change the odds; they change how much you wager and how the session is shaped. Some, like Fibonacci, post higher medians by accepting a big chance of losing everything.

Making flat betting fun

Flat doesn’t mean boring. Use Aviator’s second panel for a small 10x shot (see the dual bet strategy), set a win target, and play shorter sessions. The bankroll management guide has the sizing rules.

Try it

Flat betting works in Aviator, JetX and every crash game with auto bet. Test it in the simulator below. Stake Crash’s 99% RTP makes flat betting even cheaper, or browse our partner casinos.

Play smart: set “on loss” to reset in auto bet. That one setting is what keeps flat betting flat.

Frequently asked questions

What is flat betting?

Betting the same amount every round, no matter whether you won or lost the last one.

Is flat betting the best strategy for crash games?

It’s the steadiest. It can’t beat the 97% RTP, but it wagers the least, keeps swings predictable and never escalates after losses.

What target should I use with flat betting?

Anything from 1.2x to 3x. Lower targets give smoother sessions, higher targets bigger swings.

How much should I bet per round?

1–2% of your session budget, for example $10 from $500.

Why does flat betting cost less than progressions?

Every $ you wager costs about 3 cents on average. Flat betting wagers $1,000 over 100 $10 rounds; Martingale averaged $2,235 in our test.

Can flat betting make a profit?

In plenty of sessions, yes: the best 10% of our simulated sessions finished $100 or more ahead. Over a very long run it follows the RTP.
