Low-risk crash strategy: how to play for steady sessions
Low-risk crash strategy is about steady sessions: frequent small wins, small swings and a bankroll that lasts. The classic approach is a low auto-cashout target such as 1.10x–1.50x with small flat stakes. Here’s how each target behaves, and how to build a low-risk session plan. It’s part of our crash game strategy series.
Win rates at low targets
| Target | Win rate (97% RTP) | Profit per $10 win | Break-even win rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.10x | 88.2% | $1.00 | 90.9% |
| 1.20x | 80.8% | $2.00 | 83.3% |
| 1.30x | 74.6% | $3.00 | 76.9% |
| 1.50x | 64.7% | $5.00 | 66.7% |
Lower targets win more often but pay less per win. Moving up from 1.10x to 1.30x–1.50x trades a little win rate for a much bigger payout on each win.
Watch your volume
Because low targets feel safe, it’s easy to play more rounds and bigger stakes than planned. If rounds take around 10 seconds, auto-bet can place about 360 bets an hour, so a round limit is just as important as the target.
A low-risk session plan
- Small flat stakes (1–2% of the session bankroll). See bankroll management.
- A low-to-moderate target (1.3x–2x).
- A fixed number of rounds or a time limit.
- Stop-loss and stop-win set in auto-bet.
Compare targets in the fixed auto-cashout guide and the 1.20x systems test, then pick a game from our best crash games.

Frequently asked questions
What is the safest crash game strategy?
Small flat bets with a low auto-cashout give the smallest swings and the lowest chance of a wipe-out.
Is 1.01x auto-cashout risk-free?
No. Games with a 3% edge crash instantly at 1.00x in about 3% of rounds, which wipes out a 1.01x bet. Low targets reduce risk; they don't remove it.
