Stop loss and take profit in crash games are two numbers you set before you play: the loss that ends your session and the win that ends it. A good starting pair is a take profit of +20% and a stop loss of −30% of your session budget: on R2,500, stop at R3,000 or R1,750. They turn a random run of rounds into a session with a clear finish line at Hollywoodbets, Betway or a partner crypto casino. Here’s how to set them, with a simulator check. Part of our crash game strategy guide.

Why limits matter in crash games

Rounds take seconds, so a session can run hundreds of rounds before you notice. Limits decide when you leave, which is the one thing the multiplier never decides for you. We ran flat bets at 2x through our simulator: 1,000 sessions of 100 rounds, a R2,500 bankroll and R50 bets. The median session finished on R2,400, the luckiest 10% on R3,000 or more and the coldest 10% on R1,800 or less. Not one session went bust. So +20% is a result about one session in ten reaches: a realistic, bankable target. More in our crash game bankroll management guide.

Style Take profit Stop loss On R2,500
Calm (1.2x–1.5x) +10% −20% stop at R2,750 or R2,000
Balanced (2x) +20% −30% stop at R3,000 or R1,750
Big-win (10x) +50% −50% stop at R3,750 or R1,250

Set them in the game

In Aviator’s Auto Play settings, “Stop if cash increases by” is your take profit and “Stop if cash decreases by” is your stop loss. Stake Crash has the same idea as stop-on-profit and stop-on-loss. Step-by-step in our auto bet and auto cash out setup guide.

Session length works with your limits

Limits end bad and good runs early; a round cap ends the slow ones. Read how long should a crash session be to pair them.

Use them in South Africa

Write your two numbers in rand before you deposit with Ozow instant EFT, 1Voucher or OTT Voucher. Then open Hollywoodbets Aviator and enter them in Auto Play. Pro tip: when you hit take profit, withdraw part of it straight away; a banked win is the best win.
