Client seed: meaning in crash games

By · Last updated October 30, 2026

A value supplied by the player or browser that is mixed with the server seed to generate results. Because the server commits to its seed first, it cannot choose a seed that works against your client seed.

Why it matters

Changing it doesn’t improve your odds, but it does guarantee the server couldn’t pre-select results for you.

In practice

In most games you can change your client seed in the fairness settings. Some multiplayer games, Aviator among them, combine seeds from several players in each round, so no single party controls the input.

Example

Change your client seed to any phrase, such as “lucky-7”.
