D'Alembert: meaning in crash games
A gentle progression that adds one unit after a loss and subtracts one after a win. Bets grow linearly, so it escalates more slowly than Martingale, which makes it easier on your bankroll.

Why it matters
Slower escalation means fewer busts and slower recovery.
In practice
D’Alembert was designed for even-money bets, which a 2x cash-out approximates. Because 2x lands slightly less than half the time, the stake tends to drift upwards over a long session. See D’Alembert and Fibonacci.
Example
Units go 1, 2, 3 after two losses, then 2 after a win.
