Fibonacci betting strategy: how it works
A progression that follows the sequence 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13… moving forward one step after a loss and back two after a win. It escalates far more slowly than Martingale.

Why it matters
In rand: with a R50 stake, a 2x cash out returns R100. You’ll see this term in the bet panel of every crash game in our best crash games in South Africa list.
Ten losses take Fibonacci to 89 units against Martingale’s 1,024.
In practice
Fibonacci moves back two steps after a win, so one win doesn’t erase a losing run, but the stakes rise far more slowly than Martingale’s. It trades rare catastrophic losses for longer, slower drawdowns.
Example
After five losses the bet is 8 units.
